The Sussex United U12 Boys team played four great games in Hartford at the Kick Some Grass tournament.  On Friday, August 27th the United team lost 5-0 against the Hartford United Black team.  It was tough competition to start the tournament, but the boys came back with a 2-0 win on Saturday August 28th against the Hartford United White team.  Fritz Rohne scored the first goal and Aaron Baker scored the winning goal with an assist from Matt Hessler.  On Sunday, August 29th the Sussex United won again in a dramatic finish.  Manuel Ruiz scored the first goal for Sussex.  Sussex was down 2-1 in the last minute when Manuel Ruiz scored his second goal with an assist from Ben Saric.  With just seconds to go Seth Narr went in for the winning goal. The final score was 3-2.  The final game of the tournament on Sunday was a 2-0 loss for the Sussex United team.  Ben Holtzen and Patrick Foldy were in goal for each of the games.  Ben Brochhausen, Josh Fagan, Cole Cohorst, Jacob Lehner and Adrian Ruiz provided a strong defensive and offensive front throughout the tournament.
