League: SECL "B" Game Schedule & Standings: http://ssl.hammerhead.net/wisconsin/stateleague/DivisionReport.asp?ID=1391 (10/22) The girls traveled to Cedarburg for their final game of the season where they faced North Shore and came away with a 5-1 victory. Kennedy Krenek opened the scoring for Sussex in the first half. Celia Janowski had two goals while Cean Faulstich and Jessie Wishart each added one to end the girls' season with a 8-1-1 record. Molly Flynn, Hanna Anderegg, and Mykayla Pena played strong offense with some nice shots on goal. Olivia Cannestra, Alex Werra, Sarah Michalski, and Abby Depue along with keeper Emma Kate Knudsen provided a tight defense allowing only one goal late in the second half. Each girl put forth great effort and teamwork was again the name of the game for Sussex! Great way to end the fall season! (10/2) Defense was the name of the game as Sussex and SC Waukesha Blue Sounders faced off in a hard fought battle that resulted in a 0-0 tie. Sussex had many shots on goal but came up scoreless. Goalie Emma Kate Knudsen had a solid game as she along with her teammates prevented Waukesha from scoring. A great effort was made by each girl! (10/1) The team traveled to Ottawa Park to face their next opponent. Jessie Wishart had a hat trick as Sussex went on to defeat Kettle Morraine United with a final score of 3-2. The girls played well both offensively and defensively improving their team record to 5-1. Great teamwork girls! (9/25) The girls traveled to Sheboygan to face the Blue Hurricanes and improved their record to 4-1. They earned their third shutout of the season with a huge 2-0 victory under very rainy conditions. It was a battle of the defenses until Celia Janowski scored for Sussex with a goal late in the first half. Jessie Wishart followed with another goal to secure the win for Sussex. Solid goal keeping from Emma Kate Knudsen along with strong defensive play from her teammates preserved the shutout! (9/18) The girls continued their hot streak with a huge victory on their home turf against a strong Lake Country White team. The offense was on fire with Celia Janowski scoring the opening goal. Cean Faulstich had 2 goals with Hanna Anderegg assisting on one. Olivia Cannestra, Jessie Wishart, and Sarah Michalski each added a goal to go on to a big 6-0 shutout. Kennedy Krenek and Mykayla Pena also contributed to the offense with very solid play and great effort. The united defensive front of Sarah Michalski, Abby Depue, and Alex Werra stopped many attempts on goal throughout the game. Emma Kate Knudsen was perfect in shutting out the opposing team. Great teamwork girls! (9/17) The Girls traveled to Germantown to take on the mighty FC Milwaukee White team. The girls played well together and came up with a big victory with a final score of 4-2. Jessie Wishart scored 2 goals with Celia Janowski and Hanna Anderegg each adding a goal to seal the victory for Sussex. The offense had many shots on goal and the strong defense didn't allow FC Milwaukee any goals in the second half. The girls were very excited to come away with a victory for their first road game! (9/11) The girls suffered their first defeat against a very strong Racine United team at home 2-0. It was a defensive battle for most of the game. Racine scored on a penalty kick in the first half and another goal to seal the game in the second half. The girls had many shots on goal but were unable to get any scores. The girls are looking forward to playing FC Milwaukee next week and get back on track to a winning season. A good effort was made by the whole team! (9/10) The girls opened their season with a 2-0 victory at home against a tough KASL United FC Black team. Jessie Wishart opened the scoring with a goal in the first half. Cean Faulstich scored in the second half while playing defense. Emma Kate Knudsen played outstanding defense as goalie. Also assisting in maintaining the shut-out, Abby Depue prevented a late score from the opposition. Celia Janowski, Olivia Cannestra, Kennedy Krenek, Molly Flynn, Hanna Anderegg and Mykayla Pena provided a strong offense. Sarah Michalski and Alex Werra played very tough defense and helped secure the shutout. Way to start the season girls!
