(10/28) The boys ended the session on a high note, defeating the KASL United FC Black team, 5-3. In the 1st half, KASL United struck first with a quick goal 3 minutes in, but SSC fought right back. Garrett Poynter netted an unassisted goal to tie it up at the midway point. The 1st half deadlocked at 1. In the second half, SSC unleashed their offense scoring the next 4 goals. Steven McConnville had 2 of the goals, while Devin Schneider and Mason Frank each had one goal. Ian Markano, Steven McConville and Garrett Poynter each had an assist. The SSC boys held off a late attack by the KASL United, with great defensive plays by Ian Marcano, Christopher Lang, and Mitchell Neals. Ethan Nolan secured the goal for the full game with aggressive and impenetrable play. Congratulations SSC on a job well done!

(10/8) The team fell to Elm Grove Red 6-1.  Garrett Poynter scored for SSC with an assist from Ethan Nolan.

(10/1) The boys fell to the Bavarian Academy Yellow, 9-4. In goal for SSC was Devin Schneider. In the 1st half of play, Eli Wartgow and Garrett Poynter lead SSC with one goal each. Steven McConville had the assist on both goals. The 1st half ended with the SSC boys down 5 – 2. In the second half, once again, leading the SSC offense was Garrett Poynter and Eli Wartgow, each netting their second goal of the game. Towards the end of the game, the SSC boys were on the attack. Ben Wieseckel ripped a hard shot off the crossbar, missing a goal by inches.  Though they did not win, the SSC U9 boys fought hard and showed great improvement in all areas. Great Job Boys!

(9/25) The team fell to the Elm Grove Blue, 9 – 1. Sharing goalie duties for SSC were Mason Frank and Eli Wartgow. The only goal for SSC came in the first half by Garrett Poynter. Ben Wieseckel had the assist.

(9/24) The team fell to Menomonee Falls, 10 – 7. Starting in net for SSC was Mason Frank. In the 1st half Garrett Poynter netted 4 goals. Ethan Nolan assisted on two of the goals. Mason Frank kept SSC in it by grabbing multiple shots that were on net. At the close of the first half, SSC was down 6 to 4.  In the second half, Eli Wartgow took over goal tending duties. The SSC offense put the pressure on the MF goal keeper, which lead to 3 more goals. Scoring two of the goals was Garret Poynter, while Devin Schneider netted one. Steven McConville had one assist. Good defense by Mitchell Neils, Ian Markano, Ben Wieseckel and Christopher Lang, kept SSC in it until the end.

(9/17) The team opened the regular season against SC Waukesha. Starting in goal was Steven McConnville and the boys started the game with a bang. Devin Schneider fed Garrett Poynter for the 1st score of the game. Waukesha climbed right back in it, scoring two goals back-to-back, taking the lead and holding it through the end of the first quarter. To begin the second quarter, Waukesha scored a quick goal and held a 3-1 lead until midway through the quarter. That’s when the SSC boys made their move. Two quick goals were scored by Devin Schneider and Garrett netted his second of the game.  Ethan Nolan had the assist for both goals. At the half, the score was tied 3-3.  In the second half, the ball did not bounce SSC’s way. Waukesha scored 4 unanswered goals in the 3rd quarter and 3 unanswered in the 4th quarter.  The game ended with SSC losing, 10–3. Good defensive plays were made by Mason Frank, Ben Wieseckel, Eli Wartgow, and Ian Markano. The boys fought extremely hard and put forth a good effort till the end. Great job and keep fighting Boys!

(9/11) The boys fell 5-3 to the Croatian Eagles at the FC Milwaukee tournament.  Garrett Poynter led with 2 goals.  Steven McConville contributed one goal and Devin Schneider and Christopher Lang each had an assist. Ethan Nolan, Mason Frank, Ben Wieseckel and Mitchell Neils kept the game close with with their stellar defense.  Ian Markano and Eli Wartgow played hard all game.  Way to go team!!

The boys played their heart out but fell short in a 12-5 loss to Spring City.  Garrett Poynter lead the way with 3 goals and 1 assist, while Ethan Nolan and Steven McConville each contributed one goal.  Mason Frank, Christopher Lang, Mitchell Neils, Ian Markano, Devin Schneider, Eli Wartgow and Ben Wieseckel all played well.

(9/10) The team opened the season with a 9 to 4 loss to the Elmbrook blue team. Though they lost the game, they battled hard until the final whistle. Garrett Poynter lead the way with 2 goals and 1 assist, while Ethan Nolan and Eli Wartgow contributed with one goal each. Steven McConnville's fine goal keeping kept them in the game until the end.
