Sponsor: Anything Digital (10/29) The Sharks played the Elm Grove Express in their final game of the fall season, ending in an Express victory with a final score of 9-0. The Sharks showed great offensive and defensive skills throughout the game. Both Josh Moberg and Ryan Pfeifer had plays that left everyone saying ‘so close’. Ellis Blair and Emerson Booth demonstrated good defense while defending the goal, both having multiple kick aways and blocks from the other team. Rebecca Skelton and Trey Busateri showed off their footwork as they dribbled the ball from one end of the field to the other. The Sharks had a great fall season and everyone is looking forward to coming back for the spring season! (10/22) The Sharks played the FC Milwaukee Junior Reds and while the Sharks played a great game, the final score was 9-6 in favor of the Reds. Highlights include a total of six goals made by Ryan Pfeifer (3 goals) and Dylan Lichty (3 goals) and great defensive plays by Mya Van Iperen, Ellis Blair and Trey Busateri. Several others showed great offense including drives by Rebecca Skelton, Josh Morberg and a close shot by Emerson Booth. (10/15) The Sharks had an overwhelming victory of 11-0. First quarter offense was led by Dylan Lichty with 2 goals and attempts made by Emerson Booth, Ryan Pfeifer and Mya Van Iperen. Ellis Blair held up the defense with 2 impressive blocks in the 2nd quarter. The 3rd and 4th quarters were again dominated by the Sharks with goals made by Dylan Lichty (4), Josh Moberg (1), Ellis Blair (1), Emerson Booth (1) and Ryan Pfeifer (1). Great teamwork! (10/8) The Sharks lost to Milwaukee Sport Club White with a final score of 4-6. The Sharks had a solid first half with Dylan Lichty scoring the first goal, followed by a quick second from Ryan Pfeifer. Great defense was played by Rebecca Skelton and Emerson Booth. During the second half, Dylan scored the third goal and Josh Moberg the fourth, while both Rebecca and Ellis Blair deflected goals from the other team. The team had great defending plays by Mya VanIperen and Trey Busateri all the way through the end of the game. Despite the outcome, the Sharks continued to play as a team and we look forward to their next game. (9/24) The Sharks celebrated their 1st win against the Sussex Raiders, ending the game at 4-2. In the first half the Sharks didn’t score goals, but showed great defensive skills with blocks and saves by Rebecca Skelton, Emerson Booth, Ryan Pfeifer, Dylan Lichty and Trey Busateri. Their efforts saved many shots holding the Raiders at only two goals. The second half held a turn of the events, with four goals scored by the Sharks; two by Ryan, one by Dylan and a surprise goal for the team by the Raiders. Additional blocks by Ellis Blair and Mya Van Iperen kept the Raiders in a shut out second half.
(9/21) The Sharks played a great game against the Sussex Devils though the game ended with a score of 5-7 with the Devils taking the win. In the opening play Dylan Lichty quickly scored the first goal of the game, while Mya Van Iperen blocked the Devils with great defense. Ryan Pfeifer scored a second goal, still in the first quarter. Ellis Blair and Trey Busateri had some good plays that were so close to a goal. The third goal for the Sharks was a team effort by Ryan, Dylan and Trey. In the final quarter, Dylan and Ryan each scored a goal with great blocks by the other players. (9/14) The Sharks had their first loss against the Elm Grove Wildcats 3-6. The game started with an opening goal by Josh Moberg, followed by a goal by Dylan Lichty. In a closing play in the first half, Ellis Blair landed another goal, ending the half 3-2. The second half showcased the strength of the team’s defense with great saves by Rebecca Skelton and Emerson Booth. The best part of the game was seeing how well they played as a team. (9/10) The Sussex Sharks played the FC Milwaukee Jrs Eagles in the season opener, ending in a 6-6 tie. Dylan Lichty quickly made the first goal of the game, while Ryan Pfeifer delivered goal #2 with assists from Rebecca Skelton and Emerson Booth. Dylan came back with a third goal, followed by Trey Busateri taking the ball up the field assisting Ryan with goal #4. In the second half, Ryan delivered two additional goals, with assists from Ellis Blair, Mya Van Iperen and Josh Moberg. In the first game, the Sharks showcased great teamwork. |
