News:
Well even with all the Rain the Sting pulled together as a team and won their first game of the Spring season.
The Sting was lead by co-captains Matthew and Nicholas. The game started out great With Nicholas scoring the first goal. Justin masted the Butt block, as we are now calling it, To stop a goal attempt By the Menomonee Falls Chargers. Christian preformed a perfect pull back that Nicholas took down field and passing to Matthew who Shot at the goal, just missing. Justin and Nicholas scored the next 7 goals between the two of them, Nicholas even had 2 back to back goals the 8th and final goal was scored by Christian. William was not just a solid wall in the Goal today he ran all over the field giving the Chargers a run for the money, and shooting at the goal, only to have the ball Fly over the Top of the goal. Ben and Ryan showed off what a little passing the ball with ease to their team mates. A very special Thank you goes out to Matthew's sister who filled in as Ref (ours never showed up the rain must have scared them away) I also want to Thank all the Parents who came and watched, It may be fun to play in the rain, But sitting on the sideline, that takes dedication. Thanks to all the had work from Matthew, Nicholas, Justin, Ryan, William, Ben, and Christian The Sting won 8 to 2 on the rainy day of May the 3rd. I wish them all the best again On Sunday day see you in the AM.
On Sat, April 19, the Sting faced off against the Menomonee
Falls Tigers. The final score was 3 to 5. The Sting was led by
co-captains Ryan W. and William E. The Sting was a little
rusty from the winter but put forth a great show. The first Goal was
scored by Justin B. Matthew J. and Andrew R. showed
awesome team work passing the ball up and down the field. Benjamin
W. and Christian F. gave outstanding efforts in both the goal
and in the forward position. William E. was once again a solid
Wall in the goal letting nothing get by him. Ryan had a wonderful game
getting in on all the action Scoring his first goal with the Sting and
guarding the goal with ease. Nicholas has several attempts at the goal,
I will never forget the Big toe cut and the strike at the goal only to
hit the pole and bounce out, it may now hay been a score but was a
memory this coach will never forget. The Sting put forth such a strong
effort today. I am proud to be their coach, and I say Thank you to all
the boys Keep up the great work!
