VOLUNTEER INFORMATION

FAQs about the soccer season:

When is the soccer season and when is practice?

A Soccer season runs August 1st to July 31st.  There are two playing seasons - Fall (September to October) and the following spring (April - May)  Practice for the fall season usually begins in early to mid August, several nights per week, and goes till the end of the fall season.  Practice for the spring season begins in April as soon as the fields are ready to be played on and is again two times per week till the end of the season.

What does my registration fee cover?  What isn't covered?

Your registration covers many things including uniforms, club equipment needs, state WYSA membership fees, league fees, ref fees, field use fees, field maintenance fees, club administration fees, coaching development fees to name a few.  It currently does not cover skills camp fees, tournament fees or indoor fees.  For those fees, an extra charge should be expected and may be subsidized with fundraising funds.  It also does not cover the Director of Coaching and Player Development fee.  Part of our Director of Coach and Player Development fee is currently being paid for with fundraising activities.  The remainder is currently being paid with the club's cash reserves.

Can we sign-up and pay for only 1/2 of a season?

Yes and No.  Because many of the fees paid for each player are for an entire season, the fee we charge needs to be an entire season fee.  If your child is only available for 1/2 the season, the club will do everything possible to accommodate but will not hold a spot on a team if there is a player available to play an entire season and the roster is full.  Your money would be refunded.  If there is an opening available in the spring due to a player moving or quitting etc. after the fall session., a fee to fill the spot would be made available - approximately 1/2 of a season fee.
